Plymouth Bowling Club: 2019-2020
Week 27 Doubles Tournament – March 26, 2019
Event Rules
- The goal is to bowl the highest over-average scratch score for each
doubles pair.
- Bowl with your regular team. Lane assignments are posted below.
- High/Low Double pairs are assigned based on individual averages after bowling
Week 26 (end of 2nd half). The bowler with the highest average will be paired with the bowler
with the lowest average, the second-highest average will be paired with the
second-lowest average, and so forth.
Note: Where averages are the same, I will use the "true
average" tracked by our bowling software, which calculates averages
with 2 decimal places. This resolves any apparent "ties".
- Scores will count for your personal statistics but do not affect your team
standing for the season.
- Absent bowlers are to use scratch averages, NOT the –10 pin blind
score. (By doing so, absent bowlers do not take pins away from their
partner.) However, absent bowlers do not receive prize money for their
finish in the doubles tournament. (Note: Our
league
specifications (PDF file) dictate these rules in point #9.)
- There is NO additional fee to bowl in this event.
- Top scorers will win a nominal amount of prize money, which will be handed
out on Banquet night. (See the
league
prize fund (PDF) for payouts.)
Lane Assignments
Other than the roll-off teams, the remaining lanes are assigned based on
teams' total points won for the season. Click
